Folks, look what just hit the big screen! The Tamagotchi Original by Bandai, in Fresh Strawberry. The classic handheld digital pet! Oh, I love this one! It's the perfect gift for kids, and for nostalgic grown-ups who want a pocket pet. Welcome to Wishlist After Dark, I'm Penny, and Sunny's already picking out a name. So, Marty, what does this little thing actually do? Penny, you raise a Tamagotchi from an egg.

An egg! All the way to adulthood, right there in your hand. Okay, here's the whole list! Egg to adulthood, a looped chain, that Fresh Strawberry colorway, and it's small enough for a stocking! Hold on, Sunny, the chain clips right on? It sure does! It clips on with its looped chain, so it goes everywhere. Picture a kid pulling it out of their stocking and just squealing. Oh, I want one! And folks, N B C Select picked it as a stocking stuffer!

Okay, my turn. In the box? The Tamagotchi with its looped chain. That's the whole package. So, Penny, what are buyers saying? Here's the big one. A digital pet needs regular attention to thrive, so it suits kids who'll check on it every day. So it's homework. But the cutest homework ever! Cute homework, sure. If the goldfish already got forgotten, Marty, maybe skip this one. But the kid who checks on everything?

Or a grown-up who wants a pocket pet again? They're going to light up! Eight point four out of ten from me! You raise a pet from an egg, folks, come on! I'm at eight point zero. That little stocking moment gets me every single time. I'm the strict one at seven point four, because it needs daily care. That makes our After Dark Score seven point nine out of ten, just outside the top eight on our toys board.

It's a buy for kids who'll check in every day. Go hatch that egg, folks! The link's on our site and in the description. See you next time!
