Folks, welcome to Wishlist After Dark! Today it's Sushi Go! By Gamewright, a fast little card game and the perfect gift for families and kids eight and up. Hey everyone, I'm Penny. Okay, Marty, how does it actually play? Pick and pass, Penny! You grab one sushi card, pass the rest along, and the dishes go whizzing around the table. And the combos are so clever! You score maki rolls and sashimi sets, and wasabi triples your nigiri.
Hold on, it triples it? Sunny, so everybody's fighting over the wasabi? Every single time! Oh, and save room for dessert. Don't get stuck short on pudding. Sunny, how long's a game? About fifteen minutes, over three rounds. So it's one more game, then one more! And look at this, folks! A hundred and eight illustrated cards, all in one small box. Toss it right in a backpack! I can just see the wrapping coming off and the whole family piling in!
It plays two to five, so even you and one kid works. Okay, here's the catch. It tops out at five players, and buyers say bigger groups need Sushi Go Party, which is a separate game. Five's plenty of sushi, Penny! And doesn't it have awards? It does, Marty. The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award and Parents' Choice Recommended. No batteries needed, either. Okay, give it a number! I'm at seven point six, Sunny's at eight, Marty's at eight point four.
After Dark Score, eight out of ten, and it's number seven of eight games on our board. So Penny, it's a buy? It's a buy, if your crowd is five or fewer. Sushi Go! For the card lovers on your list, folks. The link's on our site and in the description. See you next time!
