Welcome to Wishlist After Dark, folks! Meet the J B L Clip 5, a palm-size Bluetooth speaker with a carabiner built right into it. It's the gift for hikers, beach-goers and shower singers. And with me, the sunniest smile in the building, Sunny, plus our in-house review whisperer, Penny Pickwell! Hi, Marty! Ooh, and look at that clip. The gate opens wide, so it hooks right onto a backpack, a belt loop or a shower rod.

Hey, everyone. I read the reviews so you don't have to. Sunny, tell him about the battery before he faints. Up to 12 hours of play, Marty! That's music from the trailhead all the way to the campfire. But wait, there's more! Playtime Boost adds up to three more hours. Folks, that's the encore! Plus it's waterproof and dustproof, rated IP67. Sunny, your shower concerts are officially covered. Oh, they're legendary.

Penny, can it team up with a second speaker? It can. It pairs with other Auracast J B L speakers, so your friend needs a J B L with Auracast too. A clip, a long battery and a buddy system! Okay, Sunny, what's waiting inside the box? The speaker and a U S B-C charging cable, and that's it. Oh, and it's made in part with recycled materials, which I love. Okay, Marty, fine print time. Buyers say the sound's big for its size, but it's not party-filling, and it plays in mono.

Wait, mono? So no left and right? Nope, it's one small speaker. Great on a hike or in the shower, but throwing a backyard party? Skip it. Fair enough! Scores, team. I'm at eight point eight, because this thing clips onto just about anything. Sunny? Eight point four from me! That wide clip plus up to 12 hours makes it so easy to give. Seven point eight from me, because mono's a real catch. That makes an After Dark Score of eight point three out of ten, third of three on our gadgets board.

Still a buy for anyone who takes music outdoors. Thanks to the J B L listing for the details! The link's on our site and in the description. See you next time, folks!
