Folks, look at this, a plush tree trunk packed with squeaky squirrels! Welcome to Wishlist After Dark, I'm Marty. I'm here with our walking ray of sunshine, Sunny, and the woman who reads every review, Penny Pickwell. Hello, hello. Marty, I've got the fine print right here, so pitch carefully. Carefully is my middle name! It's the Outward Hound Hide-A-Squirrel Plush Puzzle Dog Toy, the X L, the perfect gift for the dog who shreds every squeaky toy, and the pet lover who owns it.

Oh, look at that Bernese pulling one out! The squirrels hide in the holes, and your dog sniffs them out and tugs them free. Hide and seek for dogs! But wait, there's more. Sunny, tell 'em the second trick. It's two toys in one! Once the squirrels are out, they're fetch toys too. Just picture the wrapping coming off and that tail going. And the X L trunk holds six squeaky squirrels. Six, folks! And it's a big trunk, Marty!

The X L is about seven by eleven point eight inches. That's a real armful of tree. Okay, my turn. Even the maker says no toy is indestructible, so this one isn't for unsupervised chewing. Wait, the maker says that? They do, Marty. Heavy chewers can get through the squirrels quickly. Good news, though: replacement squirrel three-packs are sold separately. Ooh, and Penny, if your dog's smaller, it also comes in Small, Medium and Large, with three squirrels in the smaller sizes.

Nice catch, Sunny. No batteries needed, either. We didn't check the star rating today, but it's one of Outward Hound's best-known puzzle toys. Then I'm giving it an eight point two! Two games in one trunk! Sunny? Seven point seven from me, because that hunt is pure joy. Penny, bring it home! Seven point two from me, since tough chewers go through squirrels fast. That's an After Dark Score of seven point seven out of ten, number five of six on our pets board.

Buy it for a curious dog who plays supervised. Go get that squirrel hunt, folks! The link's on our site and in the description. See you next time!
